I wish to change my main hard-drive (C) to be one of a larger size. Will Ghost-15 create a complete copy of all of my programs (including Windows 7 as the Operating System) and all other program files and document files on the new disk? I wish to have that copy to carry with me if we should have to evacuate to a safer area during hurricane season (from the coastal region of Florida).

Yes, Norton Ghost is capable of creating copies of hard discs and partitions (operating systems included). The application creates a mirror of the hard disc or partition that can be deployed on another HDD or computer. It also saves every file while the backup is created making it easy to restore on other HDD. The whole backup is contained in one file.
Simply reinstall the packages again without attempting to uninstall the previous version of Ghost and Antivirus. It will install the missing files and will restore the functionality of the applications. It's a dirty trick, but it will work without requiring any other steps.
I have just purchased a new PC which is SATA only and I want to be able to create and restore an image of the hard drive. The new PC however has AHCI installed and I am not able to use Ghost as the drives are not recognized in the AHCI mode. Can you advise me of a fix or some way round this problem?

The AHCI mode can be changed from the BIOS. Instead of AHCI use IDE and then you should be able to restore the image to the hard driver. If there is no setting to change, recovery won't be possible because even if you restore the image, you will get a BSOD every time the computer is started. To change the AHCI mode, start the computer and press the button that takes you to the BIOS/SETUP menu. Change the AHCI to IDE and reboot it. Unfortunately, there is no other way to overcome this issue except the method posted here.
No, Norton Disk Doctor is not available.
